In This Together (+ Thank Yous)

Thank You

Honestly, thank you.

Life’s a hard one but
we’re a hell of a lot harder
Monday mornings, broken cars, bills
no bother-
because we, my friends,
have got each other and there’s
no force that can kick us enough
to keep us down
because we’ve been low
and yet we’ve found that we
quite enjoyed the view
so, you see my friends,
I’ve got this life
as long as it’s you’ve
got me
I’ve got you
It’s Monday again, folks, but let me tell you that this is a good one. Why? Well, because over the weekend a handful of my friends here helped me and gave me a little insight that I needed for some research I was doing. It is because of them and to them that I dedicate that poem above because, well, life’s a hell of a lot easier to go through when you’ve got such awesome people as them there to help you out.

Thank you! Honestly, your input was absolutely priceless when it came to working with this project. Not only did you help boost my grade, but the information is something that I personally value as a way of understanding my fellow bloggers. I really couldn’t have done this with you so, again, thank you 🙂 ( If I forgot to add anyone, please remind me and I’ll toss you up onto here asap. )

Well, here’s to hoping that your day flies by and that you’ve got something cold and on the rocks waiting when you get home tonight.

Question (and a call for your input)

All good things
come to an end
the bad ones
they ever cease?

It’s short. It’s sweet. It’s Friday, folks. Congratulations on making it to the weekend. Hard part is behind you and now you, hopefully, get some time off. Maybe ponder some questions like the one above. I’ve got this nagging sort of feeling that, since the bad ones teach us so much, they’re just kind of lingering on.

Well, on a side note, it looks like I need some help from you fellow bloggers out there. Got a little assignment that requires figuring out about how bloggers build and maintain their images, and how they interact with others for a class I’m taking. So, if you feel like helping a blogger out, I’d be much obliged. All I need you to do is leave a comment here and we can chat, or you can send me an email at Once again, I’d greatly appreciate any input and I would love the chance to connect with all of you.

Well, here’s to hoping that your weekend is long and that your drinks are cold, folks, so that Monday finds you roaring and ready to go.

Looking for Chatty Bloggers!

Help Wanted

Help Wanted

Hey there, folks.

Well, I will admit this is a rather odd post to see but I was wondering if there was anyone out there who’d be willing to talk with me for a few moments about being a blogger here on wordpress. More specifically, talking about forming friendships or followings with other bloggers. Got a bit of an assignment to do for one of my classes, and I thought this would be a great opportunity to get to know  a few of you, as well as to get the info from the horse’s mouth.  Basically, it will be just you and me talkin’ about our experiences here on wordpress and, don’t worry, I’ll just be using generalizations for the paper and anyone that helps me out won’t be identified unless you want to be (by your blogging sn of course. No real names).

I’d really appreciate any help I can get so, let’s do what we do best, fellow blogging breathern- let’s talk!  I’ll be willing to chat over here, via email, or over an IM device so let’s connect, shall we?  Maybe share a drink and shoot the breeze? I’m open and all ears.

Feel free to comment below if interested or drop me a line at:

Well, it’s Monday again, folks.  Got an early start to this week with a little introspection and a bit of wondering about how to pull myself on through the work week. The answer? Something strong in the morning to get me up and into my day and something even stronger at night to put me down and keep me that way till the cycle starts all over again. Sort of a fail-proof plan, I’d say.

Here’s to hoping that your day flies by and that you have something cold and on the rocks waiting for you when you get home tonight!

Alone With Everybody by Charles Bukowski

Alone With Everybody

the flesh covers the bone
and they put a mind
in there and
sometimes a soul,
and the women break
vases against the walls
and the men drink too
and nobody finds the
but keep
crawling in and out
of beds.
flesh covers
the bone and the
flesh searches
for more than

there’s no chance
at all:
we are all trapped
by a singular

nobody ever finds
the one.

the city dumps fill
the junkyards fill
the madhouses fill
the hospitals fill
the graveyards fill

nothing else

Well, it’s Friday, folks. Thought I’d post one of my favorite poems in leu of one of my own today. Absolutely love this one by Charles Bukowski, and a lot of his other works as well!

Here’s to hoping that your weekend’s long and your drinks are cold!

Payment Due

Roll out of the bed where my vices

Forgot their clothes, face my demons

Time to go,

I brush my teeth they snap their claws

Tap their feet and grind their jaws

Back to it I’ll have to go

A week in hell, I do it all just to know

Why, the devil, he smiles so.

Back to it, folks. Hope your Monday isn’t being a beast to you and that you’ve had time to shake that hangover off. I’m slowly getting through the day here and hoping that my week goes by already so I can get back to the activities that don’t feel like such a waste of my time. You know, like having a drink, lounging around with friends, and contemplating the universe between shots.

Well, hang in there, because you’re up and the hardest part is over now. As always, here’s to hoping that your day flies by and that you’ve got something cold and on the rocks waiting for you when you get home tonight.
